District Governor Elect
Rajj Melambaran is a passionate and results-driven Rotarian who began his Rotary journey in 2009 with the Rotary Club of Subang. A Past Club President (2012/13) and Assistant Governor (2017/18), Rajj has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to membership growth, club experience and leadership development.
At the District level, Rajj has served as District Membership Chair (2021–24), District Public Image Chair (2019–20), Deputy District Trainer (2020–21), Youth Membership Chair, Deputy Chair for District Conference (twice), District Interact Assembly CoChair, and member of the District Training Team (three terms), contributing actively to leadership training, youth development, membership attraction & retention, public image enhancement, and club experience.
Professionally, Rajj is a HRDC Certified Trainer and Training Provider for MNC and GLC corporate clients. With a background in Information Systems honours degree from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and MBA from the International Business Academy of Switzerland, he transitioned from technology into human development and engagement. Today, he is a Training Strategist, Speaker, and People Engagement Consultant, specialising in leadership upskilling, career development strategies, and employee engagement frameworks.
He is the Charter President of RMB Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry and currently serves as Chairman of the Rotary Means Business (RMB) District 3300 Malaysia Fellowship Group, championing purposeful business networking within Rotary and fostering stronger professional collaboration among members – locally and internationally.
He is widely recognised for his dynamic speaking style and practical approach to Rotary leadership, focusing on making clubs more vibrant, relevant, and attractive — particularly to the younger generation. His work consistently bridges business excellence with Rotary values, aligning professional growth with meaningful service.
Rajj is supported by his wife, Suguna, and their two children, Sanchana aged 11 and Noveen aged 8, who share in his Rotary journey and remain his constant source of strength and inspiration. Rajj was born and raised in Johor Bahru and proudly identifies as a Bangsa Johor. Outside of Rotary and professional commitments, he is a passionate Liverpool supporter of over three decades — firmly believing that leadership, like football, is built on teamwork, resilience, and never walking alone.
