Dr Raj Kumar is an ENT & Head and Neck Surgeon with over three decades of experience, having been in practice since 1995. He is currently serving as a Consultant Otolaryngologist at Pantai Hospital Klang.

A committed Rotarian, Dr Raj strongly upholds Rotary’s core value of Service Above Self. He views Rotary as a platform for both humanitarian service and personal growth, guided by ethical leadership and the principles of the Four-Way Test, which he embraces as a lifelong framework for self-reflection and positive action.

He served as the Charter President of the Rotary Club of Klang Valley (Rotary Year 2019–2020), playing a pivotal role in establishing a strong foundation for the club. His contributions at the district level include active involvement in District Secretariat events (Rotary Year 2022–2023), serving as Assistant Governor (Rotary Year 2023–2024), and completing his term as Organising Chairman for the 90th District Training Assembly in 2024.

In addition, Dr Raj completed his role as Chairman of the District Annual Fund Sub-Committee (Rotary Year 2024–2025), where he contributed significantly towards strengthening sustainable giving in support of Rotary’s global mission. Earlier, in 2020, he also served as Charter Chairman for District Action on Mental Health Initiatives, leading impactful programmes that continue to benefit the community.

Beyond his professional and Rotary commitments, Dr Raj shares a strong partnership with his wife, Dr Prameela, Professor of Paediatrics at MSU. Together, they reflect a shared dedication to excellence in medicine and service to the community. They are blessed with two children — their daughter, Dr Vidhya Raj Kumar, and their son, Vishnu Raj Kumar.
