🕊️ IN MEMORIAM

Jeyaratnam Velupillai

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that the Rotary Club of Klang Valley (RCKV) announces the passing of our dear friend, fellow Rotarian and respected member, Jeyaratnam Velupillai, who passed away today.

Jeyaratnam leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of 41 years and 6 months of dedicated service to Rotary.

He joined Rotary Club of Bangsar on 1 January 1985 and subsequently joined the Rotary Club of Klang Valley on 20 October 2021, continuing his commitment to the ideals of Rotary until his passing.

His dedication to Rotary was reflected in his recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow +1 (PHF+1) and as a Rotary Benefactor — a testament to his commitment to the Rotary Foundation and to making a difference in the lives of others.

A formidable man with many accomplishments, Jeyaratnam will be remembered for his strong character, friendship, kindness and the lasting contribution he made to Rotary and to those around him.

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Klang Valley, we extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife, Usha, his children Alishna, Pravitra and Yeshodha, and the entire family.

During this difficult time, may the family find strength and comfort in the many cherished memories of Jeyaratnam and in the knowledge that his remarkable journey of 41 years and 6 months in Rotary service has left an enduring legacy.

Dear Jeyaratnam, your service, friendship and fellowship will never be forgotten. You have truly lived the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self.”
🪔Om Shanti 🙏🏻.

With deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences,
